About The Position

The CNA Instructor will serve as an advisor, trainer, educator, and evaluator, assisting and supporting the facility Administrator and Director of Nursing in achieving goals related to nurse aide students' training and retention. The mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents and employees by committing to core values such as communicating expectations, delivering high-quality nursing and rehabilitation services, setting higher standards in resident care, encouraging growth through education and community awareness, and implementing fiscal responsibility through employee training and personal commitment.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Texas RN or Texas LVN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete retention tracking with class attendees.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes and/or updates, as needed.
• Research other training methods, materials, and resources.
• Guide and support nurse aide students through testing and certification.
• Actively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives of residents through dedicated training and retention.
• Prepare lesson plans based on the nurse aide curriculum.
• Effectively communicate and train nurse aide students.
• Facilitate regular CNA Training Class.
• Communicate with the Administrator and Director of Nursing any concerns with CNA students' progress throughout the duration of the class.
• Complete Skills Check off and promote proficiency.
• Evaluate nurse aides upon completion of the class for assurance of knowledge obtained.
