About The Position

As a Community Float Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being in the comfort of their homes for all Midland service areas and programs.

Requirements

• Required: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification. HHA certifications obtained on or after July 1, 2017 must be Class A HHA certifications.
• Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.
• Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.
• Due to insurance company requirements, must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as a Home Health Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possesses effective communication skills to act as a companion and provide emotional support to patients and caregivers.
• Possesses interpersonal skills that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
• Possesses flexibility to provide personal and supportive care to a variety of patients through all Midland’s programs and service areas in a variety of settings.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of various developmental stages.
• Identifies need for intervention by other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) on an ongoing basis and reports to case manager.
• Provides input into interdisciplinary evaluation of the effectiveness of care.
• Is sensitive to the stressors experienced by colleagues.
• Seeks opportunities for professional growth, including demonstrating the ability to accept direction from professional staff of all disciplines and to receive constructive performance feedback.
• Participates in the orientation of new members of the IDT.
