About The Position

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve at Grace Home, Essentia Health's long-term care facility in Graceville, Minnesota. This CNA works on a casual basis, picking up shifts as needed to support staffing needs at this location. Some weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

• Must be certified as a nursing assistant, or must have completed or be currently enrolled in a CNA course, with the ability to be certified within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents.
• Serve the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
• Provide personal hygiene care.
• Assist with providing for nutritional needs.
• Recognize and deal with the problems of the aging process.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents.
• Prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Identify safety hazards and emergency situations and initiate corrective actions.
