About The Position

The CNA and/or MA is a member of the patient care team. These duties include patient preparation for surgery/procedure, obtain patient vitals, maintaining Big Board, moving patients, assist with bay/bed turnover, restocking units, and a variety clinical tasks in the pre-op setting.

  • Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions.
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness; is receptive to change, and exhibits creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with patients and staff.
  • Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed.
  • Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of previous experience in a hospital based or ambulatory surgical center.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • CNA or MA certification preferred.
