The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is a part-time role focused on providing routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their care plans. The CNA will work under the supervision of a Charge Nurse or RN Supervisor, ensuring that residents receive the necessary support and care in a compassionate and professional manner.

  • Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Use authorized abbreviations when recording information.
  • Report changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
  • Record entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts in an informative manner.
  • Report accidents and incidents observed during the shift.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' protected health information and report any violations.
  • Report unauthorized attempts to access the facility's information system.
  • Perform only nursing care procedures that have been trained for.
  • Prepare residents' rooms for receiving them, ensuring beds are made and admission kits are available.
  • Greet residents and escort them to their rooms, introducing them to roommates and staff as appropriate.
  • Make residents comfortable and assist with their personal possessions.
  • Transport residents to new rooms or receiving areas as necessary.
  • Create a warm and calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
  • Meet regularly with nursing personnel to identify and correct problem areas.
  • Report complaints and grievances made by residents.
  • Participate in nursing report as instructed.
  • Follow established policies regarding exposure to blood/body fluids.
  • Make beds and provide extra covers as requested.
  • Measure and record vital signs of residents as instructed.
  • Check on residents who are unable to call for help frequently.
  • Answer resident calls promptly.
  • Must be a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
  • Basic understanding of nursing care procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
  • $1500 sign-on bonus for full-time employees.
