About The Position

The CNA Acute Care position at SnapCare involves providing essential patient care and support in a hospital setting. The role focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring safety and comfort. The CNA will work closely with licensed nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous hospital experience in geriatric/adolescent and rehabilitation or per recommendation by Director of Nursing.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate required.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
• Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with daily tasks like bathing, grooming, feeding, and movement, ensuring care is tailored to individual needs.
• Conducts delegated tasks such as recording vital signs and intake/output, reporting findings to the licensed nurse.
• Performs specific skills under supervision, including blood glucose checks and specimen collection.
• Monitors patient condition, ensures safety, provides 1:1 supervision when needed, and responds to emergencies.
• Respects patient privacy and dignity, maintains confidentiality, and communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Assists with patient admissions and discharges, handling personal property as needed.
• Uses supplies efficiently, handles hazardous waste properly, and maintains cleanliness.
• Uses proper body mechanics to prevent injury and follows infection control protocols.
