About The Position

Role Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a national truckload-carrier client for experienced Class A CDL CMV Drivers to run over-the-road lanes nationwide. Drivers earn $0.45 – $0.85 per mile (rate based on verified experience and miles driven), safety and performance incentives, and full benefits. Key duties include safely operating late-model diesel tractor-trailers, performing pre-/post-trip inspections, handling basic freight loading and unloading, and maintaining full DOT and FMCSA compliance. This role offers reliable home time, 24/7 dispatch support, and clear paths to advance into dedicated fleets, mentor roles, or lease-purchase opportunities.

Requirements

  • Active Class A CDL
  • 3 months recent, verifiable tractor-trailer experience from an accredited CDL school or 1 year tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
  • Able to enter/exit cab 8–10 times daily (36-68 in. height); lift/carry 75 lbs frequently; stand or walk for hours on uneven or oily surfaces; pass DOT physical and drug test; sleep-study evaluation if BMI ≥ 41.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to run OTR routes
  • Reliable communication while on the road.
  • Safety minded, detail oriented, able to follow written instructions and road maps.
  • Strong situational awareness for handling heavy equipment in dynamic conditions.
  • Customer-service focus and clear communication with dispatch and shippers.
  • 21 years of age or older
  • No DUI/DWI within last 5 years
  • Willingness to run nationwide OTR routes and comply with HOS regulations

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a diesel tractor-trailer combination over long distances (8–11 hours driving per day).
  • Hook and unhook trailers, raise/lower landing gear, and check fifth-wheel connections.
  • Load and unload freight (with or without mechanical aids); lift, pull, push, or carry up to 75 lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Inspect vehicle and cargo before, during, and after trips; submit driver vehicle inspection reports.
  • Review shipping papers for load details and hazardous-materials compliance; ensure proper placarding when applicable.
  • Maintain manifests, bills of lading, security seals, and other shipping paperwork.
  • Adhere to FMCSA Hours-of-Service rules and all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Keep accurate electronic logs and records required by law and company policy.
  • Report accidents, cargo issues, weather or traffic delays, and equipment defects promptly.
  • Represent the company positively with customers, dock personnel, and the public.
  • Demonstrate safe maneuvering skills in tight spaces, city traffic, mountain terrain, and inclement weather.
