About The Position

The CMT Project Manager is responsible for coordinating a construction project to make sure it’s completed correctly, on time and within budget. This position ensures compliance with engineering specifications, regulatory standards, and project requirements. The CMT Project Manager requires close collaboration with engineers, contractors, and project managers to verify quality control, material testing, and adherence to construction best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, Architecture, Engineering or Related Field
  • 3+ years in a construction management role
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid grasp of construction methods, building compliance and safety regulations
  • Comfort with technology and familiarity with construction management software programs
  • Leadership skills, including task delegation and staff management
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including making financial projections and creating project budgets
  • Decision-making, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

  • Manages, oversees and presides over construction projects and service operation schedules, prioritization, and requirements.
  • Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Confirms that construction projects and efforts stay within specified budget constraints and that additional budget requests are submitted to appropriate administrative bodies.
  • Documents and handles hazards, problems, and concerns onsite that impede the schedule of a construction service or pose a safety hazard to construction staff.
  • Directs the activities of construction personnel and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project managers and related staff to develop roadmaps, milestones, resource requirements and cost estimations.
  • Negotiates and applies for appropriate licensing and permits as required for projects.
  • Collaborates with Facilities Management to determine long term plans of management and operation of the facilities, including potential future repairs, upgrades, or additions to the current construction project.
  • Manage relationships with clients, customers, and public officials on complaints, queries and concerns related to current construction service projects.
  • Conducting an in-depth analysis of the project to develop the budget and deliverables.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements to meet labor demands for projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
