CMT Lab Manager (Concrete & Soil)
About The Position
NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled CMT L aboratory Manager to join our team in Norcross, GA The Lab Manager will manage the lab's production and personnel and provide quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low—to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects. Essential Functions: Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc. standards. Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results. Organizing lab data, processing, and report preparation. Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces. Manage lab personnel and maintain required certifications among the laboratory team. Maintaining lab accreditation.
Requirements
- One or more certifications required: ACI Concrete Strength Testing ACI Aggregate Testing Technician GDOT Aggregates Technician
- 3+ Experience in a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory testing and sampling
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong project management abilities, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
