Requirements
- High School or GED required
- 1 year minimum experience required
- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines including short long and emergency timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Software Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lift carry push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to work under pressure and multitask
- Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Drivers License Upon Hire Required
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
- Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree preferred
- Familiarity with Construction practices and Materials testing Preferred
- Other national regional state and local Materials related certifications within 120 Days Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform field materials testing on soil asphalt masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and the specified procedures
- Performs pre task planning prior to executing work
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
- Perform occasional laboratory tests on soil asphalt masonry and concrete when required to support project objectives
- Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings and follow operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
- Accuracy attention to detail and timeliness of results required
- Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy applicability and reasonableness of test data
- Work collaboratively with managers and other staff to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Clean calibrate maintain and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
- Maintains equipment in good working order and adheres to related calibration and storage
- Completes other tasks as assigned
