Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • 1 year minimum experience required
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines including short long and emergency timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Software Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to lift carry push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to work under pressure and multitask
  • Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Drivers License Upon Hire Required
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
  • Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Construction practices and Materials testing Preferred
  • Other national regional state and local Materials related certifications within 120 Days Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform field materials testing on soil asphalt masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and the specified procedures
  • Performs pre task planning prior to executing work
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
  • Perform occasional laboratory tests on soil asphalt masonry and concrete when required to support project objectives
  • Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings and follow operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results
  • Accuracy attention to detail and timeliness of results required
  • Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy applicability and reasonableness of test data
  • Work collaboratively with managers and other staff to ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Clean calibrate maintain and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Maintains equipment in good working order and adheres to related calibration and storage
  • Completes other tasks as assigned
