About The Position

Develops and executes commodity strategies while driving supplier development through innovation and collaboration. Maintains advanced knowledge of industry and market dynamics, along with deep expertise in relevant commodities, to proactively design supply chain solutions ahead of Intel’s needs. Applies strong contracting, negotiation, risk‑mitigation, and supplier‑relationship‑management skills to ensure sustainable cost, quality, availability, and technology outcomes in alignment with procurement policies. Owns supplier relationships and coordinates purchasing activities with cross‑functional teams to acquire materials and services in a cost‑effective and timely manner. Ensures each commodity meets business demand and cost requirements to enable Intel to deliver exceptional products and services to its customers. Works closely with partner teams and suppliers to define standard and custom product requirements, influence design decisions to meet product/service needs, and support broader business objectives. Collaborates with partner teams to capture commodity requirements, understand design‑to‑cost impacts, and provide informed feedback. Conducts periodic executive reviews of commodity sourcing strategies with internal stakeholders to shape strategic business objectives and investment plans through aligned roadmaps. Adjusts sourcing strategies as needed in response to market shifts and develops mitigation plans to ensure business continuity. Partners with finance and legal teams to resolve supplier or internal disputes. Leads sustainability and regulatory compliance efforts and ensures suppliers adhere to Intel’s business processes. Works with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the supply chain, assess affordability, set cost targets, and define cost‑reduction roadmaps through a detailed understanding of supplier financials, business objectives, and margins. The candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: Demonstrated negotiation capability and contract execution. Strong analytical and data‑modeling skills (Excel, analytics tools). Experience collaborating with technical and operational teams. Ability to independently manage multiple suppliers, priorities, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, such as sourcing, procurement, commodity management.
  • 1+ years of experience with CMP processes OR experience with wet chemicals, advanced materials, or chemical supply chains
  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience semiconductor/advanced manufacturing fields.
  • Master's degree (MBA, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain) or professional credential (CPSM, CSCP, APICS).
  • Experience with CMP materials suppliers (e.g., slurries, pads, conditioners), semiconductor fabs, or high spec manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of cost modeling, indexation, and supply risk analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP/S2P systems such as SAP, Ariba, or equivalent.
  • Experience with materials interactions, and consumable performance drivers.
