About The Position

The CMMS-GIS Coordinator is responsible to develop, implement, and maintain a Computerized Management System (CMMS) for managing assets and work operations and perform assigned duties in the GIS system.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable of asset management and data flow.
  • Use of CMMS software and hardware systems including maintenance and secure operations.
  • Basic GIS concepts, principles, and analytical techniques.
  • Ability to coordinate the collection of asset information and develop and employ methods that ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and the ability to train, support, and collaborate with District staff in a productive and positive manner.
  • A college degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, GIS or other related technology field or other relevant professional certification.
  • Five years of asset management experience providing enterprise support for applications.

  • Experience in a water utility setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assuming responsibility for the functionality and maintenance of the District's CMMS - currently the Cityworks 23 Application Platform, including updates and revisions.
  • Coordinating with vendors, consultants, and internal departments to gather asset information and maintain the comprehensive CMMS database.
  • Championing the creation of new asset entries and modifying asset attributes such as cost, group, type, area, or criticality descriptions as necessary.
  • Participating in the development of procedures to collect and maintain data records, including assignment of asset codes, asset data catalogs, and population of life cycle costs, timing and criticalities.
  • Assisting with the administration of CMMS which includes, but is not limited to, creating, modifying and/or deleting work activity templates, creating and maintaining employee accounts in CMMS.
  • Authoring and maintaining database reports in support of District operations.
  • Monitoring and reviewing Operations Work Orders, Inspections, and Service Requests to ensure quality of work flow and providing necessary feedback, comments, training and/or corrections to situations as needed.
  • Working with and training internal departments to incorporate preventative/recurring maintenance activities into the CMMS.
  • Guiding the development of tailored and standardized reporting structures within the CMMS program as needed to provide quantifiable performance metrics and other related statistics.
  • Providing daily customer (user) service and long-term guidance in the operation and capabilities of the program.
