The CMM Programmer will create and edit dimensional inspection programs for the CMM, both interactively and off-line. The role involves developing program setup and execution documentation detailing preparation, part orientation, and operation instructions for other inspection personnel. The programmer will utilize a working knowledge of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Additionally, the position requires conducting CMM inspections of various parts, gauges, and tooling as required, performing surface plate inspections, and hand-held gauge setup/calibration as needed. Collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel regarding part conformance and process capability is also a key aspect of this role.
