About The Position

The CMM Programmer position at Aerotek involves utilizing Zeiss CMM machines with Calypso software to conduct quality inspections in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Proficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
  • Ability to write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.
  • Experience in writing AS9100 First Article Reports.
  • Experience with integrating with Net Inspect.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with aerospace products is strongly preferred.
  • Firm understanding of shop math, engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with CMM programming and operation using Zeiss Calypso.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5M dimensioning tolerance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations and prepare associated documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and communicate areas for improvement.
  • Write CMM programs from customer-supplied .stp and Catia files.
