About The Position

Perform and verify visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspection functions relating to first article, in-process, and test operations using company or customer supplied specifications on CMM machine. Inspect, test, raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment during inspection process. CMM programming experience is required.

Requirements

  • GD&T interpretation of drawing, analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment, and certification methods, and measuring instruments required.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of High QA.
  • Ability to program and calibrate the CMM & Vision Systems.
  • Gather data from CMM and report as necessary.
  • Inspect, test, or measure manufactured or final level products for conformance to all requirements and specifications. Reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting the requirements.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Experience with precise measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, drop gages, etc.
  • Write inspection reports describing results, recommendations, and needed repairs.
  • Set controls, start, and monitor machines that automatically measure, sort, or inspect products.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, must be proficient in operation of a computer and using Microsoft word, excel, and outlook and ability to stay organized
  • Ability to multi-task with limited supervision and ability to handle frequent interruptions
  • Good communication skills while interfacing with other departments and individuals
  • Ability to maintain quality requirements while remaining efficient
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/ AS9100, statistical process and KAIZAN.
  • Other duties as assigned
