About The Position

The CMM Programmer will be responsible for creating CMM programs which will be used for measuring parts. This role is responsible for supporting a variety of organizations, as well as, topics throughout the campus. These topics can include production line calls, Engineering projects, Problem Solving, along with a variety of PPAP activities. This position will interact with Quality, Supplier Quality, Production, Engineering, as well as, direct interaction with suppliers. We provide a scheduled posting end date to assist our candidates with their application planning. While this date reflects our latest plans, it is subject to change, and postings may be extended or removed earlier than expected. Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. Requirements

  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have experience working within a multi-disciplined manufacturing team
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office applications.
  • Open to new experiences and learning
  • Good understanding of Manufacturing processes and standards
  • Metrology Degree or equivalent, but not required.
  • 1-3 years of related industry experience is preferred.

  • Working independently skills
  • Minimum 1 yr - Manufacturing Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment( Zeiss preferred).
  • Experience with Zeiss CALYPSO software, Curve, and Gear Pro is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME/ANSI Y14.5.
  • Reading technical drawings, customer specifications and working with 3D and solid CAD models are preferred.
  • Experience using manual measuring tools such as dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, profilometers, optical comparators, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate multiple CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) using Zeiss CALYPSO software.
  • Program Zeiss CMM both online and offline
  • Verify parts are within specified geometric tolerance and are in compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Communicating with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering in verbal and written form
  • Document results using standard company format
  • Create and maintain formal company documents, such as procedures, inspection plans, system work instructions, etc.
  • Develop fixturing concepts and work with mechanical design group to facilitate implementation
  • Assist with training others in the use of equipment and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
