Job Responsibilities: Job Overview The CMM Operator supports Kamtek’s quality objectives by operating and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and related measurement systems. This role is responsible for performing dimensional layouts, inspections, and studies to ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of quality systems, standards, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • 1–3 years of experience in: CMM operations, manufacturing or quality environments, CNC or metrology-related roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • CMM programming experience
  • GD&T knowledge
  • SPC and MSA experience
  • Pi-Web and PC-DMIS familiarity
  • TS16949 internal auditor experience
  • CNC and/or robot programming experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate, program, and maintain CMM equipment including Opti-Cell and Opti-Go (white/blue light measuring systems) .
  • Set up equipment, fixtures, and parts to ensure accurate measurement and verification.
  • Prepare, maintain, and export inspection programs, data, and reports to designated network locations.
  • Perform dimensional layout inspections on parts, fixtures, and dies, including: First Article layouts, Gage R&R studies, Capability studies
  • Monitor CMM trackers to prioritize workload and complete weekly audits.
  • Maintain annual part layouts and fixture Gage R&R studies.
  • Ensure machines are utilized efficiently throughout the shift with minimal idle time.
  • Maintain confidentiality of dimensional data prior to leadership review.
