The Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors. The CMM Operator position is responsible for providing inspection support for quality, manufacturing, and engineering.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years in optical or mechanical inspection; Coordinate Measuring Machine experience preferred.
  • Proficient in handling precision components.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional measurement techniques, blueprint drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Windows and Office software.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Familiarity with precision components and blueprint interpretation.
  • GD&T knowledge is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CMMs to perform dimensional measurements and inspections per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze measurement data to determine part conformance and identify non-conformities.
  • Generate inspection reports, analyze measurement data, identify non-conformities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
