About The Position
Alpha Q, Inc. is seeking a CMM Lead Inspector to join our team! This is an amazing opportunity to work with some of the best people in the industry. This position will be located at our Colchester, CT manufacturing facility. The CMM Lead Inspector will oversee the daily operations of the CMM Inspectors, ensuring productivity and providing guidance and support to team members. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to achieve departmental goals, identifying and addressing areas for improvement, and tracking and reporting progress on these goals while evaluating outcomes. The CMM Lead Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of complex and intricate mechanical parts and fixtures, determining the acceptable quality of parts, and notating the reasons for any rejections. This position requires the use of existing and the creation of new inspection setups to check dimensional requirements pertinent to product design. Additionally, the inspector will assist in resolving day-to-day inspection problems regarding methods, devices, and corrective actions, and will work from complex drawings and specifications. Surface plate inspection may also be required to obtain or validate key features. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality that Alpha Q, Inc. is known for, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
