About The Position

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is seeking a CME Program Administrator for our Medical Education division. ACP, a national organization of internal medicine physicians with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with 163,000 members worldwide. This is a full-time hybrid position with two days per week in the office required. The CME Program Administrator will be responsible for administering the compliance of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program with particular focus on the Online Learning Center (OLC) CME content, state-mandated licensure requirements, and joint-providership activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • Minimum of 3 years professional association, or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of the ACCME Accreditation Criteria, the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, the ABIM MOC Program, and the AMA Physician Recognition Award (PRA) Program requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF creator.
  • Must have analytical skills to interpret, explain, and apply compliance-related criteria and standards.
  • Familiarity with Convey is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP)is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the CME program applications for joint-provider podcasts and internally derived activities.
  • Provides direction to activity owners, chapter leadership, and ACP staff regarding ACP’s meeting application processes, requirements, and policy. Contributes to tutorial sessions for activity owners throughout the year.
  • Ensures that learner surveys as well as CME and Maintenance approved templates are in place prior to the start/release of activities.
  • Keeps current with changes to the Accreditation Committee for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation Criteria, the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, and American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Medical Association (AMA) policies and requirements.
  • Contributes to ACCME reporting and the process for reaccreditation including the self-study report, performance-in-practice files, and survey interview.
  • Provides oversight for ACP’s OLC and conducts monthly review of certified activities.
  • Maintains the record of state-specific physician licensure requirements and the ACP certified activities that meet those requirements.
