About The Position

Governs the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) which supports all IT Service Management functions. This role would require strong data analytic skills, the ability to persistently request data from teammates who own the different Configuration Item (CI) classes, and administrative capabilities to document processes and controls. This position will be office-centric 4 days a week in one of the listed Truist hubs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in application support or development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Knowledge in information systems and ability to apply that knowledge in practice.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
  • Experience participating in IT projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in straightforward situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: Data Warehousing, multi-dimensional database, Excel (data comparison).
  • ServiceNow experience - CMDB layers and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for moderately complex issues.
  • In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities.
  • Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
  • Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and provides input to developing long-term improvements.
  • Documents all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents.
  • Has occasional contact with end-users.
  • Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers.
  • May engage and manage external vendors.
  • Applies an understanding of key business processes and practical experience to solve a range of straightforward problems.
  • Analyzes possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.
  • Works under moderate supervision.
