We are looking for a Vice President for our client, a multi-billion dollar financial services institution. The candidate would support the origination and portfolio management functions of the CRE Warehouse business, focusing on the screening, underwriting, and execution of commercial real estate loan pledges, as well as facility closing and asset management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA or Masters in Real Estate Finance is a plus
  • 6-9 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, private credit, investment banking, or a related specialty finance area; direct experience with CRE Warehouse is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to create and run complex financial models and produce investment committee materials for lending transactions
  • Deep understanding of CRE deal structuring, financing, and capital markets
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead collateral loan pledge process from origination to close, including transaction execution and underwriting
  • Manage the underwriting process for complex CRE debt transactions including but not limited to bridge and transitional loans
  • Conduct thorough credit risk assessments, evaluate counterparty creditworthiness, and analyze complex financial structures
  • Present detailed investment memoranda to senior management and credit committees, effectively communicating key risks and mitigants
  • Assist in the asset management and mark to market process for a portfolio of warehouse facilities
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio management including financial covenant compliance and counterparty review for warehouse facilities and collateral loan positions
  • Lead the negotiation, analysis, credit risk approval process and documentation of loan modifications and facility restructurings
  • Act as a direct point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring client requests are met in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including counsel, operations, credit risk, and potential third-party investors and lending partners to manage transaction processes and ensure compliance
