About The Position

Ensures patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and office procedures. Assists providers with all aspects of direct patient care.Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care and also some administrative tasks such as pre-certs. It may require travel between Anderson, Clemson, and Piedmont locations, depending on where the clinic is scheduled for the day.

Requirements

  • Current SC LPN license OR Medical Assistant certification by either AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT required, and must be a graduate of a postsecondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be able to travel between Anderson, Clemson, and Piedmont locations

Nice To Haves

  • use of electronic health record (Epic) preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred.
