This position is for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Occupational Medicine. The CMA performs basic nursing skills under the direction and supervision of a practice physician, advanced practice professional, and/or registered nursing staff. The role involves greeting and escorting patients, preparing exam rooms, assisting with exams, tests, and procedures, scheduling appointments, setting up referrals, educating patients on follow-up, maintaining quality control logs, ensuring medical equipment is functional, and assisting with medical documentation. The role also includes on-the-job training for various drug testing, phlebotomy, audiometry, respirator fit testing, and spirometry certifications. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week, during the day shift.
