As a Specialty Clinic CMA/LPN, you will provide direct patient care in an outpatient specialty setting while supporting visiting specialty providers. You will play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, coordinated, and compassionate care throughout their visit. This position requires strong clinical skills, organization, and communication to support patients, families, providers, and the multidisciplinary care team. Other responsibilities include: Provide direct patient care within scope of practice, using clinical judgment to identify expected and unexpected patient responses Safely administer oral medications and injections; obtain and report vital signs Manage patients in infusion and treatment rooms, ensuring patient needs are met Assist visiting specialty providers with chart preparation, scheduling, rooming, and procedures Coordinate with insurance companies to precertify and authorize medications and procedures Monitor and track patient authorizations, ensuring services remain within approved dates Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and care team members to ensure appropriate follow-up Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
