About The Position
The CMA Training Academy is designed to provide a full – time, paid training opportunity to learn, through various teaching methods and on the job training, the information required to take and successfully pass the Certified Medical Assistant exam. At the successful completion of the exam, the trainee will become a CMA. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs routine administrative and patient care support duties in a medical practice to assist medical and / or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients and ensures that the office runs smoothly. Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- CMA or RMA within 4 months - Varies
- H.S. Diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
- Attend Academy classes and clinical rotations to learn functions of CMA job responsibilities.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Attend CMA in training classes and clinical rotations.
- Work under the direction of the CMA preceptor during clinical rotations.
- Completes all mandatory training and competency modules.
