Harwood Rd Ste 301 Hurst, TX 76054 Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift Shift depends on clinics needs Monday through Friday from 7:30A-4:30P or 8A-5P Some clinics close early on Friday (7:30A-12:30P) Sign-on bonus: for eligible CMA Floats (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement) Travel: Will float between Hurst & Bedford locations Texas Health Family Care- 3024 Highway 121 Bedford, TX 76021 Texas Health Internal Medicine- 1604 Hospital Pkwy, Suite 100 Bedford, TX 76022 Texas Health Internal Medicine- 1615 Hospital Pwky, Suite 103 Bedford, TX 76022 Clinic Highlights Must be able to cover front desk and clinical Good communication skills Strong work ethic

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year Medical Assistant experience within the last three years required
  • CMA - Certified Medical Assistant upon hire required
  • Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations

Nice To Haves

  • Recent phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred
  • EPIC knowledge preferred
  • ACLS or BCLS upon hire preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
  • Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • May work in the front office as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
