About The Position

As a Cluster Sales Manager – Korea Market, you’ll develop and execute sales strategies and action plans to ensure targets are met and goals are achieved for both Crowne Plaza Resort Guam and Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. Regularly sell bedrooms, meeting rooms and restaurant & bar through direct client contacts, vendors, travel agents, tour operators, visitor bureaus, convention bureaus, IHG Sales Team and other partners.

Requirements

  • Work home base must be in Seoul, Korea - this is a remote work, and freelancer work.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English (speaking, listening, reading and writing).
  • Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field.
  • At least Five or more years of experience in a hospitality or resort sales.
  • Strong knowledge of Micronesia (Guam and Saipan) businesses and business trends.
  • Proactive sales skills.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
  • Tasks and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed.
  • Cooperate, coordinate and communicate with Department Heads and other inter-departmental secretaries as appropriate.
  • Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume including sales promotion, partnership, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc.
  • Support colleagues to ensure compliance and standards are met.
  • Achieve Korean market sales goals and maximize profitability by proactively conducting day-to-day sales actions.
  • Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy and increase average rates.
  • Regularly communicate and update market intelligence to create and launch new promotions.
  • Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends.
  • Deliver Crowne Plaza Brand Promise and Service Signatures in daily work.
  • Help guests with requests or complaints and provide information to enhance guest experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business.
  • Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the resort and coordinate with other departments.
  • Identify improvements to overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments.
  • Cooperate with Marketing team on marketing activities to raise awareness and reputation of Crowne Plaza Resort Guam and Saipan.
  • Participate in any resort activity related to Fire Life safety.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
