About The Position

Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing and/or General Manager, responsible for directing, coordinating, training, and supervising the Sales Managers and the Sales Administrators in all sales-related activities. Responsible for assisting in the creation of strategies and the direct oversight of the execution of plans and tactics used to focus on increasing direct revenue for the property. Responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget to maximize revenue and profits, and to improve the hotel's performance in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of sales leadership experience in a similar sized operation required, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, catering sales, conference service, and marketing management experience.
  • Basic understanding of legal contract language.
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation.
  • Intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as Opera, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook preferred.
  • Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
  • Excellent communication skills in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
