Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s program.
  • Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; exceptional organizational ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, creating an environment of empathy, acceptance, and encouragement. Must be flexible, creative, and energetic.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; eager to learn and contribute to team success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn Canva and other creative platforms.
  • Adaptability: Must be resourceful and able to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Background Check: Background check is conducted as per OMH guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Engage members in setting and achieving personal goals.
  • Document all member interactions and activities in the electronic health record system, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Promote a person-centered approach through motivational interviewing and supportive guidance.
  • Develop, design, and distribute engaging content for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials to increase awareness and participation.
  • Utilize Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud to create visually compelling and effective communications.
  • Organize and facilitate health and wellness programs, daily meal preparation, and structured group activities.
  • Oversee and involve members in daily unit tasks, promoting responsibility, teamwork, and skill-building.
  • Partner with members to design and implement outreach initiatives that foster participation and strengthen community connections.
  • Create promotional materials, conduct outreach efforts, and serve as an ambassador for the Lantern House mission.
  • Interpret and uphold Clubhouse policies, the Code of Ethics, and Clubhouse International Standards.
  • Provide clear guidance to members and staff on policies and best practices, responding to related inquiries as needed.
