About The Position

Worldwide Golf is hiring for a Club Services Specialist in Joliet! This is a part-time position, but we are also open to hiring someone full-time. We are looking for candidates who are golf enthusiasts or simply would enjoy working in the golf industry. We will provide training and set you up for success.

Requirements

  • Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • A golf background is preferred, but NOT required.
  • Direct hands-on experience in club repair and customizations is a plus, but NOT required.
  • Experience with inventory management software is a plus but is NOT required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on club repairs and customizations, including re-gripping, re-shafting, loft/lie adjustments, club building, ferrule repairs/replacements, etc.
  • Examine preowned clubs to determine the need for grip replacement before processing customer orders for shipment.
  • Re-grip golf clubs as part of the customer service order fulfillment process and inventory workflow.
  • Assess damaged clubs, identify required repairs, and execute them safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble club heads and shafts received from manufacturers according to each OEM's specifications.
  • Polish clubs to enhance their overall condition.
  • Accurately and efficiently receive golf club products into our web-based inventory systems.
  • Apply standardized procedures to determine the brand, model, and specific attributes of each preowned club or shaft received.
  • Evaluate the condition of each preowned golf club and assign a rating based on our criteria.
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues with preowned golf club receipts and communicate these to the supervisor and procurement team.
  • Receive new golf products using the Company's proprietary PO/UPC based receiving systems.
  • Process products returned by customers within the allowed time frame as per the Company's terms and conditions.
  • Validate system receipts against all paperwork and control sheets, communicating any discrepancies to the supervisor and procurement team.
  • Assist with daily operations in other areas such as customer service and order fulfillment as needed.
  • Support redundancy efforts in other warehouse areas like shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Perform inventory pick activities required to collect products for service and refinishing processes.
