Club Cheerleading Coach
About The Position
Collaborate with student leadership to provide instruction, training, and motivation that enable all team members to perform at their highest potential. Ensure familiarity with and adherence to all university policies and procedures related to club sports and student activities. Coordinate and teach the skills, techniques, and physical conditioning necessary for safe and effective participation. Provide on-site supervision during all practices, performances, and events in coordination with student leadership. Maintain oversight of a majority of practice sessions to ensure safety and progress toward team goals. Report all serious injuries or incidents involving participants to the supervisor within 24 hours. Assist student leadership in planning and executing fundraising activities to support program needs. Serve as a team chaperone and drive a university vehicle to and from events as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with the fundamentals of cheerleading.
- Prior coaching experience at the high school or youth level.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in tumbling and/or gymnastics.
- Coaching experience at the collegiate level.
