About The Position
Join our team at Eastern Carver County Schools as a Club Care Assistant, where we are dedicated to fostering a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all students. This full-time position is available at Carver Elementary and Jonathan Elementary, starting on August 22, 2024. As a Club Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care for students enrolled in our program, assisting them with their everyday needs, and facilitating various activities. You will work closely with the Child Care Specialist and the Director of Community Education to ensure that all students have access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include giving direction to paraprofessionals on site, ensuring that students are engaged and supported throughout their time in the program. The position requires a commitment to working Monday through Friday, totaling 30 hours per week, with hours varying between 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, depending on school start and end times. Additionally, you will earn an extra $28.40 per day when working a split shift on student contact days. This role is essential in helping students achieve their personal best and become thoughtful and responsible citizens. To be successful in this position, you must have a current first aid certification (or be willing to obtain one) and experience working with elementary-aged children. This position is eligible for benefits as negotiated between the Student Support Staff (MSEA Association) and District 112, and it also offers opportunities for overtime and comp time.
