About The Position

The Fitness Attendant position is designed to assist members in achieving their wellness needs while ensuring that the fitness area remains clean and safe. This role is crucial in providing a welcoming environment and maintaining high standards of customer service. The Fitness Attendant will report directly to the Fitness Director or Assistant Fitness Director and will be expected to embody the company's mission, vision, and service standards in all interactions with members.

Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Fitness knowledge preferred.
• Red Cross CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Get and keep members engaged and satisfied.
• Perform duties according to the company's mission, vision, pillars of success, service standards, and business philosophy.
• Provide the highest quality of customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Embrace and follow the company Service Standards and guidelines outlined in the AFF training and policy manuals.
• Know the club's emergency response protocol and be prepared to act with safety as a priority.
• Arrive to work 5 minutes early and wear department-specific uniform.
• Actively participate in all department and club mandatory meetings.
• Contribute to both club and organizational goals as a team player.
• Maintain open and honest communication with the team.
• Read and sign the communication log.
• Enforce all rules and regulations in the fitness area.
• Observe the fitness area to ensure member safety.
• Instruct members on the proper use of equipment and assist as necessary.
• Clean and maintain fitness equipment and areas.
• Create and develop relationships with members to assure satisfaction with AFF.
• Advise and direct members on utilizing membership amenities to achieve their goals.
• Promote club/company programs and interests.
• Anticipate needs of members and take action accordingly.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
