As a key member of the Club Operations Team for BlueStar Resort & Golf, the Club Accountant / People Services heads up the Human Resources and Accounting departments. This position reports to the Club General Manager.
Responsibilities
Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSGR) to support the achievement of company goals.
Maintain effective communication with all team members to maintain a smooth, informed, and consistent atmosphere related to office functions.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all human resources and business matters.
Respond to phone calls and correspondence.
Manage all duties and responsibilities related to the People Services hiring process-from new hire through termination.
Process payroll and benefits.
Process workman's compensation.
Process all incoming invoices and set up and maintain monthly accounts receivable process (includes member accounts).
Reconcile monthly statements and coordinate all month-end accounting processes.
Prepare and submit daily reports for corporate office.
Maintain fax machines, assist users, send faxes, retrieve and route incoming faxes, and distribute departmental mail.
Assist in budgeting process.
Compose and proofread documents, such as correspondence, contracts, reports, memorandums, and fax cover sheets as required by business.
Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and record and transcribe meeting minutes.
Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as photocopying, preparing packages to be shipped.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Requirements
Associates degree or equivalent required.
Six months to one year of related experience.
Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Experience with travel, hotel, and meeting arrangements.
Ability to operate phone systems, copiers, printers, and fax machines.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to take dictation and write meeting minutes.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have exceptional proofreading skills.
Must have strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent customer services skills and an ability to respond to the needs and requests of coworkers and clients.
Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
