About The Position

Clow Valve Company is a leading manufacturer of water valves and fire hydrants, established in 1909. The company is a division of McWane Corporation and has a rich history of manufacturing excellence. The position is for the 2nd shift, which runs from Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM. The starting wage for this position is $25.29, with health insurance available after 60 days and a $500 sign-on bonus after a 120-day probationary period.

Requirements

• Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting of certain weights required.
• Standing & walking greater than 2 hours per day.
• Sitting greater than 7 hours per day.
• Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
• Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves, write & utilize tools.
• Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions.
• Ability to work with solvents & chemicals, operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
• Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered.
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting their forklift and filling out inspection paperwork.
• Visually assessing and clearing their traffic area of people, objects, and other forklift traffic.
• Inspect loads verifying they are secure for transport and accurate.
• Transfer product to designated location throughout the facility by complying with all safety rules and regulations.
