CloudOps Engineer I / IS - Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Services / Full-time / Days
About The Position
This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date. Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The CloudOps Engineer I supports the development and operations of the technology infrastructure, focusing on cloud environments. This role assists with infrastructure management, systems administration, and the operation of orchestration engines. The CloudOps Engineer I is responsible for supporting senior engineers in ensuring application uptime, contributing to cloud disaster recovery planning, and engaging in related initiatives. This position requires a fundamental understanding of cloud technologies, automation, and best practices for maintaining a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, systems administration, or a related role.
- Fundamental understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Basic knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and management tasks. Powershell preferred.
- Experience with system troubleshooting and problem-solving across various application domains and platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support senior engineers.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to system incidents outside of regular business hours.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Any additional Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer are preferred.
