About The Position

The Cloud Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from AWS services. This role involves acting as the principal technical advisor, helping customers adopt and utilize AWS technologies effectively. The TAM will engage with a diverse range of clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, and will be instrumental in driving customer success through strategic planning and operational support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of technical engineering experience in Information Technology operations.
• Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present to executive audiences.
• Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
• Development experience in a distributed systems environment.
• Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Act as the principal technical advisor for customers, providing advocacy and strategic guidance.
• Help customers adopt and utilize AWS services effectively, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
• Maintain operational health of customers' AWS environments through proactive support.
• Understand customers' business and technical challenges to provide tailored solutions.
