About The Position

IC System is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. The Cloud Systems Engineer role also supports on-premises systems, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and Microsoft 365, ensuring seamless integration across environments. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Cloud Systems Engineer helps deliver innovative technology solutions. The Could Systems Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting complex issues and maintain high levels of system performance and security. This role plays a key part in automating deployments, managing identity and access, monitoring system health and cost efficiency, and supporting cloud migration and modernization efforts

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure support
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID and Intune
  • Understanding of network architecture, administration, and core networking fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues in production environments
  • Experience supporting secure, scalable infrastructure using standard configurations and industry best practices
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Azure Automation)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information

  • Basic knowledge of MSSQL and hybrid/cloud-integrated environments is a plus
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) (preferred for advanced design)
  • ITIL® 4 Foundation
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
  • Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, PowerShell/automation, or VMware/virtualization are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provides Level 2 support for network, server, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments, troubleshooting complex issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • The Could Engineer designs, implements, and maintains hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure solutions, including Azure, LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud-integrated networks in a Microsoft-centric environment.
  • Develops Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to automate provisioning and deployment of cloud resources.
  • Automates infrastructure management and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other scripting tools.
  • Manages identity and access solutions, including Entra ID, Single Sign-On (SSO), Conditional Access, and directory synchronization.
  • Implements and maintains cloud networking solutions, including VNets, VPNs, Private Endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Maintains cloud security posture and monitoring, ensuring compliance with IT policies and industry best practices.
  • Supports Microsoft 365 services, Intune-managed endpoints, and collaborates on integration with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Monitors performance, availability, and cost efficiency across cloud and on-premises platforms.
  • Maintains operational familiarity with MSSQL to assist in troubleshooting and solution implementation with DBA teams.
  • Creates, updates, and manages project and operational tasks, including planning, timelines, and progress reporting.
  • Documents technical requirements, network and cloud architecture designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
  • Participates in cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure projects from planning through post-deployment validation.
  • Mentors and guides junior staff on cloud, network, and infrastructure best practices.
