STARLIMS Corporation seeks a Cloud Systems Engineer in Hollywood, Florida.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or foreign education equivalent)
3+ years of experience in Cloud systems engineering.
Skill/experience in:

implementing and configuring LIMS software solutions in cloud-based environments;
Starlims scripting language SSL

Responsibilities

Plan, design, and configure Cloud and Windows Server infrastructure to support LIMS Software implementations;
Ensure the smooth integration of LIMS software with cloud platforms, databases, and other third-party applications;
Provide expert technical support to clients and internal stakeholders before, during and after the implementation phase;
Troubleshoot and resolve software and infrastructure issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to client operations;
Offer training and guidance to end-users on LIMS software functionality and best practices where it relates to Cloud;
Collaborate with Cloud service providers to manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance;
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cloud services for hosting LIMS applications, databases and related services;
Monitor cloud-based LIMS applications, analyze performance metrics, and implement optimizations as necessary;
Perform system administration tasks on Cloud hosted Windows Servers;
Monitor and action security alerts from monitoring and security software;
Review, monitor and make changes to Cloud security services;
Manage security groups and logins in Active Directory and Cloud services;
Manage Anti-Malware, XDR and other security products;
Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system configurations, support documents and troubleshooting guides; and
Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders on Cloud implementation tasks and support tickets.
Design and development for UI forms, SSL scripts, Reports and Data Sources in STARLIMS application designer.
Execution and documentation of Disaster Recovery Exercise within the STARLIMS AWS cloud environment.
Deploy databases with high availability and supporting maintenance tasks.
Setup user access to databases and database objects.
Minimize database downtime and ensure maintenance tasks are running as scheduled.
Migrate databases between different environments and servers.
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques when needed and backup databases.
Monitor database performance and investigate performance issues relating to databases, queries and applications.
Ensure ISO 27001 is maintained with the cloud environment.
Technical support and planning for On-Prem to Cloud migration for STARLIMS customers.
