For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Infrastructure Architect. Core Knowledge & Skills: Sets enterprise‑level infrastructure strategy; leads global architectures and integrations; manages worldwide environments; is recognized externally as a thought leader. Work & Complexity: Oversees multi‑region programs, coordinates global delivery, applies analytics to predict/mitigate issues, and steers strategic vendor partnerships. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Systems Engineer - Subject Matter Expert. Project Summary AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
- Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
- Active Secret clearance (or higher).
- Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment at sites near Boston, MA.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.
Responsibilities
- Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
- Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
- Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
- Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
- Considered a recognized authority within the company.
- Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative.
