Our work depends on a Cloud Systems Administrator joining our team in support of server and user operations. These operations include but are not limited to: Compliance Management, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, User Management, and routine server Operation and Maintenance activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Cloud Systems Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of customers. You will play a crucial role via the following: Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. Maintains detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes. May assist in the development of IT policies and procedures Develops and maintains disaster recovery plans and participates in recovery drills and business continuity planning. Manages and tests backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. Hardens Operating Systems to the required cyber compliance standard (CIS, DISA, etc) Performs application installs and upgrades Decommissions cloud resources (storage volumes, load balancers, databases, servers, etc) Reviews vulnerability scans before patching and validates successful patch activities Reviews compliance scans and identifies deviations from security policy Follows standard operating procedures while providing technical support in the management of IT systems and configurations Troubleshoots virtual systems, software issues, and network connectivity. Manages Active Directory. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. Performs all work in accordance with a Change Management system. Monitors multiple ticket queues and responds to requests received via email, instant message, or direct escalation. Coordinates with other IT teams and customers. Maintains a dashboard or similar tool to track work. Responds to after-hours on-call events. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Systems Administrator must have: ● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree in related field required; Bachelor's degree nice to have ● Experience: 1+ years of systems administration and cloud technology/platform experience ● Required Skills: Experience maintaining server operating systems (Linux/RHEL, Windows Server) Experience with Active Directory, and familiarity with related concepts (User account management, LDAP, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Certificate services, etc) Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) Understanding of security principles and best practices Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and balance competing priorities with guidance from leadership and senior staff ● Required Certification: At least one foundational or higher certification from a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google) is required AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher -or- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or higher -or- Google Cloud Foundational Certification or higher ● Preferred Skills: Additional cloud provider or vendor certifications (AWS, Azure, Google, CompTIA, Microsoft, Red Hat, etc) Familiarity with additional OSes and platforms (Ubuntu, VMWare) Advanced scripting capabilities Experience with security and monitoring applications and tools (Splunk, Qualys, ScienceLogic, Tenable, native cloud provider tools) Proficiency with NIST, DISA, and CIS control implementation SSO and MFA knowledge and implementation experience Working knowledge of network technologies Understanding of security principles and best practices Flexible schedule and the ability to work after-hours and weekends to meet customer maintenance windows within a 24x7 environment Ability to obtain and maintain varying levels of security clearances ● Security Clearance Level: None required, but ability to obtain and maintain Secret or higher clearance is preferred ● Location: State of Louisiana Candidates within LA who reside within 60 miles of our Integrated Technology Center in Bossier City, LA will follow a hybrid work model Candidates within LA who reside more than 60 miles from our office in Bossier City, LA will follow a remote work model GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. ● Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities ● Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals ● Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off ● Flexibility: Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home ● Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
