About The Position

The Leidos CIO Cloud Services team, reporting through the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking a Cloud Solutions Enablement Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for developing and architecting hosting solutions for our customers. We are looking for a seasoned technical individual contributor with extensive expertise in cloud hosting such as AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate will also have extensive technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. Location: This position allows full time telework from any U.S. based location. Travel: This position may require some travel to Orlando, FL, Dallas, TX, Virginia/DC area, or other locations for business purposes. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required and you must have the ability to obtain clearance, as needed.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed
• Bachelor's degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience
• May possess a Doctorate in technical domain
• Worked as a Solution Architect with enterprise-grade Cloud based solutions in one of the major Cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Hold at least one professional level certification in AWS or Azure
• Demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering and architecture framework concepts and ability to apply these concepts throughout significant engagements
• Strong foundational knowledge of technology concepts including cloud operating models, networking, security, compute and operating systems
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of staff and management
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, develop relationships, and obtain consensus among interested parties
• Ability to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support the resolution of problems
• Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate/Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional preferred
• Azure Solution Architect Expert certification or Google Cloud Architect Professional certification
• Experience with SAFe or other Agile Methodologies for planning/documenting work
• Worked in an ITIL environment
• Experience with Splunk, PowerBI or other observability tools

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing solutions and automations to technical needs, workflows, issues and problems based on customer requirements
• Leverage SAFE Agile practices to support business operations
• Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas
• Responsible for developing integrated solutions and workflows to streamline the onboarding process
• Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives
• Communicate well with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members
• May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.)
• Work to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches
