The Cloud Solutions Architect is a strategic technical leader that develops cloud strategies and translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architecture solutions.

  • Develops and execute enterprise-wide strategies for cloud platforms, supporting current and long-term business goals.
  • Translates business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient architectural solutions.
  • Evaluates cloud service providers and platforms to determine best-fit technologies for solution design.
  • Designs and build cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solutions that integrate with existing enterprise systems.
  • Addresses systems integration, interoperability, and compatibility across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Develops automation strategies and scripts for deploying and managing cloud resources using DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.
  • Serves as the technical authority on cloud architecture, guiding teams on complex development and integration efforts.
  • Leads feasibility analyses, proofs-of-concept, and pilot initiatives to evaluate new technologies or approaches.
  • Oversees the completion of cloud solution projects, ensuring they meet architecture standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
  • Establishes cloud architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices for development and deployment.
  • Contributes to cloud governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and compliance efforts.
  • Partners with business units, IT leaders, and cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with enterprise goals.
  • Presents architectural concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive management.

  • Education and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of software or cloud development experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud architecture and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps best practices, and enterprise systems integration. The architect serves as the highest-level technical expert and advisor, ensuring the successful delivery of complex cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals and future-state IT strategies.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing solutions in cloud architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong experience with systems integration, multi-platform environments, and microservices architecture.
  • Ability to lead large development teams and complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture, serverless technologies, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and compliance (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001).
  • Certifications (preferred): Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect).
