Position Purpose The Solutions Architect holistically leads and supports the development and management of a portfolio of solutions in adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study
  • 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, Azure preferred
  • Must have experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
  • Experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle from Analysis to Deployment of Software/Apps.
  • Experience working with various technology stacks across frontend and backend including databases.
  • Knowledge of various aspects of an enterprise technology architecture like business, information, data, network and security.
  • Contributor towards information technology principles and processes definition and implementation.
  • Knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Knowledge and understanding of different scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc)
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls.
  • Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Business domain.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving moderately complex, cross-system issues.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as visionary and strategist for solution product areas associated with Azure.
  • Provides consultation to application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range architecture solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Recommends solutions and develops business case alternatives that anticipate the future direction of the business, business drivers and technology strategy in context of cloud solutions
  • Aligns new solutions to the current architectural principles regarding standards and integration in the organization.
  • Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives (e.g., App Gateway V1→V2, Azure SQL, Fabric), ensuring scalable, cost‑effective, and reusable solution designs.
  • Partnering with other IT teams to define and govern cloud networking strategy, including Private Endpoints, DNS patterns, and segmentation models.
  • Drive architecture governance, roadmaps, platform standards, guardrails, and futurization workshops, incorporating Microsoft best practices and reference architectures.
  • Produce high‑quality reference architectures and Lucid diagrams that translate requirements into clear, actionable designs.
  • Balance the functional and nonfunctional requirements with necessary compromises while maintaining project scope.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced associates, while owning and strengthening the technical relationship with Microsoft
