About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer 1 to support the development and deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions within a mission-driven environment. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications supporting large-scale compute and data analytics platforms. This role involves working within an Agile development team to implement secure and reliable software capabilities across cloud infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated developer with strong attention to detail who can work independently and collaboratively to meet evolving customer requirements. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 0 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field; OR A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field in lieu of a degree
  • Qualifying experience must include requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, or problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines will be considered
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience working within Linux-based operating systems

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
