As a Cloud Services Manager , the primary function of this position is to manage and coach the cloud and systems engineers/administrators, maintain vendor relationships, collaborate on Technology Roadmap and maintain the performance and uptime of the environment. The Cloud Services Manager is also responsible for maintaining best practices in the daily operation, maintenance, and securing of the cloud environment. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Technology department at CITY Furniture.

  • Manage team of Engineers responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and performance of CITY cloud tech stack.
  • Design, implement, and continually improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems. This includes tuning and refining alerts, responding to system outages and performance issues, leading root cause analysis and post-mortems, and identifying and implementing countermeasures to prevent recurring problems.
  • Work closely with Software Engineering and Cyber Security teams to design reliable and maintainable systems and advocate for best practices in CI/CD, observability and resilience testing.
  • Forecast growth and optimize resource utilization.
  • Track cloud spending and optimize costs through monitoring and automation
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Adhere to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed, beyond those listed in the responsibilities.
  • Changing business conditions may trigger changes to job responsibilities (i.e., COVID-19).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, including 1-3 years of leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
  • AWS Amazon EKS
  • Terraform / CloudFormation / Ansible
  • New Relic or Similar Observability Tools
  • Jira
  • Valid Florida Driver’s license
  • AWS / Azure Certified Solutions Architect
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • SAFe DevOps or similar
