About The Position

Right at Home is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer! This position will play a critical role in building and sustaining Right at Home’s next generation cloud data and integration platform on Microsoft Azure. You will join the platform during its initial implementation, working closely with an external partner to gain deep understanding of the architecture, integrations, and operating model. As ownership transitions internally, the engineer will help operate, maintain, and evolve the platform to support enterprise interoperability, event driven workflows, analytics, and AI enablement. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, integration engineering, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including APIs, event-driven systems, and core platform services
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles and identity/access management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across teams
  • Experience supporting platforms transitioning from vendor-led implementation to internal ownership.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to healthcare, regulated, or sensitive data environments
  • Familiarity with data platforms or analytics ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake or similar)
  • Experience with integration platforms or iPaaS tools
  • Exposure to front-end development (React or similar) and integrating applications with Microsoft Entra ID for secure sign-in

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation, reliability, and ongoing improvement of the Azure-based cloud integration platform
  • Build, maintain, and enhance core Azure infrastructure including compute, APIs, messaging, monitoring, and security components
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or Bicep and Git-based workflows.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between internal systems, third-party applications, and external partners
  • Implement and support APIs and event-driven messaging patterns using Azure API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid
  • Develop reusable integration patterns, APIs, and workflows to accelerate future projects.
  • Support versioning, documentation, monitoring, and standards for APIs and event schemas (internal and partner-facing)
  • Develop, implement and follow cloud security best practices including identity and access management, secrets management, and encryption
  • Work with security and governance teams to support regulated data requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2)
  • Ensure appropriate logging, auditing, and traceability across platform components
  • Build and maintain lightweight user interfaces for internal AI tools as needed (simple enhancements, workflow screens, admin controls)
  • Integrate AI tool authentication and authorization with cloud data and integration platforms controls, using Microsoft Entra ID and standard OAuth2/OIDC patterns
  • Partner with internal AI team members to ensure UI experiences are usable, secure, and aligned with platform governance
  • Partner with the external implementation team during the build phase to gain architectural understanding and readiness for ownership
  • Work cross-functionally with various Centers of Excellence teams to translate business needs into scalable platform capabilities
  • Contribute to platform documentation, runbooks, and best practices to support adoption and operational readiness
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
