About The Position

Fiserv is a global leader in Fintech and payments, connecting financial institutions, corporations, merchants, and consumers. The Cloud Platform Engineering Intern works closely with experienced cloud, platform, and site reliability engineers to help build, automate, and operate modern cloud platforms. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and reliability engineering practices, helping the intern develop a strong foundation in cloud-native engineering and platform operations within an enterprise environment.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2028 in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or other related technology disciplines.
  • 3.0+ GPA.
  • Applicants must have unrestricted work authorization and should not require future sponsorship.
  • 0–2 years of professional work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, and operating system fundamentals.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or configuration tools such as Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git-based tools).
  • Interest or introductory knowledge in containers (Docker), Kubernetes, or cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with monitoring or observability tools (metrics, logs, alerts).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to changing priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on public cloud platforms.
  • Support the development and enhancement of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for application and platform teams.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure-as-code, automation, and platform tooling initiatives.
  • Participate in reliability, availability, and performance-related engineering tasks aligned with SRE practices.
  • Help implement and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Contribute to documentation of cloud platforms, pipelines, and operational processes.
  • Provide ideas and recommendations to improve automation, scalability, and reliability of cloud platforms.
