The IT Cloud Engineer is responsible for cloud-based identity access management and privileged access management for thyssenkrupp Materials. The CloudOps Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing technology solutions to build and progress the Cloud services for Thyssenkrupp Materials Services North America. Will have responsibility to work with vendors and partners to understand upcoming changes, how the enabling technology aligns with the target architecture strategy, roadmaps, existing technology stack and designs plan for adoption and implementation. The work will include consulting, operationalizing, maintaining, and updating all aspects of our Azure cloud platform. Primary goals are to deliver agile and secure services on our Azure cloud platform, to ensure the high availability of services, provide advice and guidance on all technical matters, to continuously increase the level of automation to ensure high quality, ensure financial goals are met, and to achieve a high-level of customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.
  • Design, build, and maintain a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across environments throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Utilize a consistent DevSecOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
  • Implement automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging, and deployment processes.
  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure troubleshooting techniques.
  • Incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Take ownership and accountability for platform improvements (automations, cost-optimization, self-service enablement, health reporting, etc.).
  • Strive for continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, MIS, or related field, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of working knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with infra and workload provisioning pipeline technology stacks (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud concepts, technologies, and services.
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting and improving reliability of Cloud Operations (including Cloud transformations & migrations).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as (Ansible, Terraform, ARM).
  • Experience troubleshooting complex Cloud issues.
  • Ability to explain complicated Cloud concepts to laypeople but also coach and educate Cloud principles and standards to other technical teams.
  • Experience working in DevSecOps and Agile frameworks.
  • Proficiency creating technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Deep knowledge ITIL processes and ticketing systems, like ServiceNow.
  • Experience with change and project management.
  • Experience using git-based source control management platforms (GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience coding with PowerShell, Bicep, Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS or equivalent scripting languages.
  • Familiar with common programming languages, database technologies and IDE's (.Net Core, C#, C++, SQL, JAVA, Python, etc.).
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux servers.
  • Azure certification (preferred).
  • MS Azure Associate or Expert.
  • MS DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • AWS certification.
  • AWS Associate or Professional.
  • AWS DevOps Engineer.
